Air National Guard Base Entrance And Guard House This Nevada Air National Guard project creates a new entry image for the base located adjacent to Reno-Tahoe International Airport. The entrance sequence into the base has been reorganized to improve security and to provide a central point of entry. The entry road features a landscaped median and landscaping to improve the visual quality of the approach to—and the visitor’s first impression of—the installation. The guardhouse is a simple, functional form with a sloping roof to increase the small building’s presence. The structure features a sunscreen to minimize the effects of the sun on the west-facing glass. |
