Sun Valley Teen Center
The Sun Valley Teen Center gives teens the opportunity to play a variety of sports, learn computer skills, work on homework, interact with peers and mentors, and learn career and life skills. The center provides teens with a place to spend time after school and during the summer—a safe alternative to hanging out on the streets. Designed to mark the center of Sun Valley Park, the building serves as a hub for the BMX track, the baseball diamond, and the skate park. The project includes areas for restrooms and storage, television viewing, computer work, a snack bar/sales area, and office area. A large roll-up door allows day-lighting and excellent access between the building and the patio that overlooks the park. Recognition |
